Gardener's Hat

My Zinnia, I grew it from a seed! I will definitely be planting lots of these next season!

You can get your seeds here.

My Butterfly Bush I surrounded with blue bottles. I love how the bottle border turned out!

Butterfly Bush (Clerodendrum Ugandense)

Canna Lily

Mandevilla.

My friend Lisa gave me a piece of her Confederate Rose a few years ago. I love it! Right around mid September, I get the most beautiful show of flowers! Thank you Lisa!

My Crown of Thorns blooms all year long. My dear mother-in-law gave me a cutting from hers five years ago, and now I get to look at this beauty everyday!

Yes, that's a sink in my garden. It's actually an old yellow sink that was headed for the dump. I love how my little freshly painted boy and girl look standing in the back!

Walking Iris: I thought I'd lost this beauty when we forgot to bring it in from the freezing weather. But it has been forgiving and I will give it extra TLC to try and fully bring it back. I think it's going to be fine!

Crossandra. I love how showy these blooms are!

Fresh cut flowers are the best! My friend Lisa and I stopped and picked these from the side of the road. The yellow and white Daisies grow wild this time of year, as do the Spiderworts. They grow wild all over North Central, and Gulf Coast Florida. Spiderwort are considered to be invasive weeds here, but they are one of my favorite flowers. So, lucky me!

My beautiful Chihuahua Violet Chanel in the background, enjoying the sun while I enjoy my flowers!

When I buy my Pentas, the label usually says 'Annual,' but here in the Sunshine State, I am fortunate to have these year long. And they bloom year after year!
We had a harsh winter this year (for Florida,) and they seemed to have died out, but - lo and behold - they came back!

About 3 years ago, my friend Lisa's mom thinned out some of her Fairy Iris's. I planted some of them here at Studio 33. They survived the winter and they have bloomed 3 times already this spring!

The first bloom on my Crepe Myrtle.

Wild Phlox and wild Forest Orchids.

My friend Sara has the greenest thumb I've ever seen. I get starts off of her plants often, and I will definitely be getting one off this stunning Lifesaver Cactus!

Sara's Orchid. I haven't had much luck with Orchids, so I'll just enjoy Sara's!

One of my favorite plants is the Christmas Cactus.
This is another of Sara's plants. She gave me cuttings off this and they are doing well. I'll have to get pictures when they are in bloom.

I love the collection of large terra cotta pots Sara has along her back sidewalk. She grows a mixture of flowers and vegies each year in these pots.
These Bonnet Peppers went in many of my recipes. Thanks to Sara!
